2008 Update

Bula Vinaka to the Babale family,

It has been a while since we put anything on these pages, in fact it is now over a year since the last post to our site was done. Please accept my apologies. I will try and get some of the senior swimmers to help out here so that we can keep this site updated more often. Pat and David I hope you are reading this.

Anyway, lots of exciting things have happened in the past year so I will try to write more about the events of the last 12 months in the next few weeks. I will also be uploading some latest photos so do please check in and catch up on what has been happening with the Babale family.

I will try to post updates on the previous swim events together with results so that you can log in to check progress of club members. However, to do that means that more research needs to be done so please be patient while i collect the information to be posted here.

This year, more and more parents have been attending training and various swim events and the enthusiasm shown from the greater part of the group has been tremendous.

At the 2008 Annual General Meeting our club members elected new club officials and we have a brand new team to lead us through the next year of club swimming. Exciting times are ahead for our club swimmers as well as for the parents and friends of the Babale Club.

Some of our swimmers are overseas while new ones have joined the club and we will be introducing the latest recruits in the coming weeks and months.

I also intend to make these pages a bit more interesting so keep an eye out for new developments.

Thats it for now.

Thank You For The Swims.

Bula All,

The Babale Swim Club memebers had just returned from the Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia where they did exceptionally well. Winning 1 gold, 4 silvers and 4 Bronze medals. Alot of Personal Best Times were posted and most of the swimmer swam in the finals. This was not bad for a club that took alot of newbies for the competition. For most of the swimmers, this was their first time on a plane and out of the country. Imagine the "kaicolo". Well things went all good, except for the accommodation thingy. Well these guys are better swimmers now and hope that they will continue that way.

So with the Courts Carnival just finished, club members that represented their schools did very good.

Congratulations to all the swimmers and to their school and we hope that you will continue your fine form when the grand prix series comes around.
